Shaylynn Glad Obituary

Shaylynn Taylor Glad 1964 ~ 2008 Shaylynn Taylor Glad, born April 6, 1964, the angel of our lives, too precious for this earth, was peacefully called home March 19, 2008. She loved singing. The only thing more heavenly than her voice, was her soul. She was incapable of seeing anything bad in anyone. To be near her was to have heaven in your heart. She was preceded in death by brothers, Rob, and Scott Taylor; stepfather, Larry England; and uncle, Phil Smith. She is survived by her husband, Todd Glad, her mother, Laurie Lyon; her father, Alan Taylor; her sister, Ann Marie Merkley; brother, Shane Taylor; in-laws; nieces and nephews; and her babies, Tinkerbelle, Lucky, Anica, and Mitzy. A viewing will be held Easter Sun., March 23, 2008 from 6-8 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 S. Redwood Road. Funeral services will be held at the Kearns 21st Ward, 4270 W. 5700 S. Monday March 24, 2008 at 11 a.m. followed by a graveside service at Fairview City Cemetery, Fairview, Utah allowing for travel time. "Heaven has become sweeter now that she is there".

I worked with Shaylynn as her aide at Woodland Park Rehab. I enjoyed helping her and every time I went in her room she would always tell me a story about her or the both of you or about her "babies" or just about how she struggled in her every day life but not once did I ever hear a bad thought or saw a frown on her face. She was always so positive and happy about everything around her I know she helped me see life in a totally different light. She will definately be missed by all who came in touch with her. She WAS the sweetest spirit on this earth. I'm sorry for your loss and know that god is with you in whatever and wherever life takes you.
P.S. Thanks for the hot dogs and the shakes you brought to us staff when we were to busy to get away from work. They were muchly appreciated.

Todd - I am so very sorry for your loss. Shaylynn is the sweetest woman I have ever met! I couldn't be prouder to share the same birthday with her. Shaylynn's darling name also helped me name my daughter Shaylee. She will always hold a special place in my heart. My thoughts are with you and your family.
