Dear Larry and Beverly,

I was sorry to read of your mother's passing but I'm sure she is having a great reunion with Lilly, Lee, and Theron!!
We just want to let you know your mother was always so friendly to us and greeted us with a smile any time we saw her.
Thanks for you being such good neighbors to Mom, Dad, and I while we lived in South Jordan. We will always treasure our time and memories in South Jordan.
May our Heavenly Father bless you and your family at this time.

Love,
Janet and Wayne Walton

Byron, and the Hutching Family
Our family was so sorry to hear about the passing of your mom. We were out of town and missed the celebration of her life, but we do have fond memories of her in ours that I want to take a minute and express. The first thing that comes to mind would be the Rudolph Duet. Almost everyone got a chance at that one. When taking Piano lessons from Vida your song wasn't ready to pass off until it had expression, the correct notes were not enough. She had to have had nerves of Steel as she sat there with you for an hour to listen to your songs over and over. Then there were those pages and pages of notes. You better get your 2 pages written or you will have 4 the next week, which taught me not to put things off. (DAD, BED, CAT etc). Judy and I had the 6:00 a.m. lesson and because we hadn't practiced as much as we were supposed to (or most likely not at all) Vida would keep us until our lesson was satisfactory. Then we would get in the back seat of that big old Cadie and she would take us to the South Jordan Elementary. I recall her having the front seat so far back, that she would have to stretch those little legs way down there to get to the gas and brake. We weren't thankful then for the ride as we wanted to catch the bus with Byron, but as we grew older we knew that she had our best interest at heart, to think that she would care enough to keep us until the lesson was complete and drive us just in time for school to start, is true dedication. She helped countless of us learn to understand and appreciate music. It was all about those chord patterns. I appreciate all she did to help me learn to play and most important, was that CAN'T WAS NOT ACCEPTABLE! don't even bother saying it, or even thinking it. I was very grateful to be able to pass it on to my children. I never pass 9800 and Redwood without thinking about her love of family and music especially in the gospel. She is playing for the choirs in heaven.
Sincerely Joan Wheadon Ward

I first met Vida in 1993 Two years prior to my marriage to Dianna Lynn, in 1995. I was working for Paul Driggs with State Farm Ins. Vida and Theron would come in often to discuss insurance needs and pay bills and so on. Vida always had a bright smile and kind words to say and was happy about our decision to be part of the family. She always is and always will be a great example of steadfastness and dedication to Family. We Thank you for your love Vida, and look forward to the time we will meet again.
