Dee Ann,

I just learned of Dave’s passing and there are no words to express the sorrow I feel. He was a man I admired and appreciated greatly. He went out of his way to make me feel welcome when I joined the High Priest’s Quorum and true to the man he was that effort and his kindness didn’t end when he was released at the High Priest Group Leader.

While I didn’t get to spend nearly as much time with Dave as I would have liked, every time I saw or spoke with him it was a reunion with a good and true friend. He had a great ability to touch everyone he came in contact with and to impact their lives in quiet, subtle yet profound ways. His passing will leave a void in the lives of everyone he touched as well as those that had not yet been blessed to have Dave in their lives.

I am sorry I could not be there for the viewing or funeral, but my love and prayers are with you and your family today as well as in the days to come. When you feel you are able, my wife Theresa and I would love to be able to take you out to dinner.

DeeAnn,

My heart goes out to you and your family. Although I never had the pleasure of knowing him, many in our family spoke of how they loved and admired Dave- including my mother, father, and brothers. Dee Ann and Family - We're sorry to hear this sad news. There really aren't words to soften the pain, just the knowing that others care too. I will always remember how helpful Dave was when Clyde set up his new office in the same complex. He was truly a kind and generous man.

I'm currently out of country, but hope you will feel the love of family and friends surround you.
