Dear Cook Family,
I used to do Nadine's hair at Sherman Kendalls Academy. I did her hair for about a year. She was always so nice, and caring. I was always so happy to see her each week. I gave her her last perm in December right before I graduated. I am very sad, but we all know she is in a better place. Love Melissa Mossberg

Dear Cook Family,
I was so sad to hear about Nadine's passing! She was such a dear, wonderful woman of geniune warmth and love for everyone. Growing up in the neighborhood and knowing the Cooks for many years, my family and I wish to extend our love and sympathies to you all. May the Lord bless you with much comfort at this tender time,

Dear Cook Family,
Many years ago your mother opened her home up for the summer at a very early morning hour to a group of your father's seminary students. I was one of those students and have such wonderful memories of being taught in your home. I particularly remember the great love your father had for her and how kindly he always spoke of her. Our prayers are with all the Cook family. What a fabulous example of cheerfulness and caring Nadine radiated. Whenever we saw her at church or at a school function, she made us feel like she truly was interested in our lives. She was so proud of her children and grandchildren. What an amazing family you are! Dear Cook Family,
All my life I have loved your wonderful mother, and have always been proud to claim her as a favorite relative. Every time I saw her she greeted me with a knowing twinkle in her eye, a warm hug, and charming wit and wisdom. She could have a conversation about anything or anybody. She was a treasure!
To my "Egan" cousins, may God bless you with his Spirit at this tender time. Milestones like this give us pause and sharpen our perspective as we contemplate our own journies. But surely there is great comfort for you in knowing that you follow the in the footsteps of such noble parents.

Dear magnificent Cook family:
We love you. We love your mother. She loves our family. She was always happy, cheerful, steady, interested, real, and a lifter of souls. She is reflected in each of you. We are delighted that she is reunited with her wonderful man after working for 27 more years, making sure there are "no empty chairs" here and in the next life. We are blessed and happy that she loved us and especially her God and you.

Well, the world was a better place because of Nadine. We always loved to see her, as she would greet us with such kindness and genuine interest in our lives. We are so grateful for our association with the Cooks. You have all blessed our lives so richly.

Dear Richards Family: Nadine was always so kind, interested, loving and thoughtful. She had a wonderful spirit about her and she lifted everyone she spoke with. We loved and admired her.
Back in 1963, she and Cal called Bill while on his mission in Paris France. They wanted to take him and his companion out to dinner and since they didn't know where to go, asked him to suggest a "nice" place. He asked around and suggested La Tour D'Argent, not knowing that it was probably the most expensive restaurant in the city. Boy were these missionaries embarrassed. Nadine and Cal were so understanding and it has been a source of humor through the years.
May the wonderful memories you hold, of time with her, be a comfort and joy in the days ahead.

Dearest Jon and Liz,
I was heartsick to see of the loss of your mother. She was so dear. She and your dad were my Sunday School teachers way back in the old Federal Heights Ward. We've been such fun friends over the years. It was so fun to run into her all of the time and she was always so cheery.

What a fun, happy person your mother was! I loved seeing her over the years. She had a gift of making people feel so important to her.
Marilyn and Nadine were dear friends. I have great memories of those Monument Park neighborhood women and their special friendships. Great role models!

Dear Cook Family:
We are so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. My parents visited her earlier this month and were so glad to have been able to see her again.
Your mom had a way of making everyone feel like they were the most important person around. Even though there were hundreds of kids in our neighborhood, I always felt like she knew everything I was involved in. She had a warm, infectious smile that made everyone feel good. She was always so good to my family and we loved her very much.
We have awesome memories of all the Cooks and feel blessed to have been part of your lives. May you feel the peace and love of our Savior now and always.

I had the pleasure of Home Teaching Nadine for a couple years and will always remember Nadine's wonderful spirit and how welcome she always made me feel. She really did love her family and her actions always made that very clear! Our sweetest condolences.

Nadine & Family I just saw this and my heart sunk but yet leaped for joy as now one of my mothers best and dearest friends is back to see her. My mother just loved you and you were so sweet to her especially in her last days. It is people like you that make this earthly life so meaningful. Dear Wonderful Cook Family, We join with you in rejoicing in the life of your beautiful, celestial mother who brought love and light to all she met. We are grateful for her love and leadership which left a lasting influence on the Brinton Family and all other ward, stake and neighborhood youth as they grew up. We are grateful for her dear husband (your wonderful father) Cal and his influence and for the example of their inspiring marriage. We have appreciated the love and friendship of each of you wonderful kids.
Nadine was always a beautiful sight, her constant optimism and faith and her celebration of life and its blessings. She offered love and acceptance to all . Her smile filled the world with sunshine. She's going to be an amazing guardian angel!

Aunt Nadine was my other mother, and Cal my other father. I am indebted forever to them for their love and kindness. They not only understood how to create a happy family, they labored all their days to do so. Surely their efforts will bless their posterity forever.

What a dear and lovely woman Nadine Cook is. She was always so kind and loving to my mother as her visiting teacher for many years, and took a special interest in me as a girl. I admire her and her great family. She was a wonderful member of the Monument Park 16th Ward and of our community.

We are sorry for your loss but know what a great reunion she must be having on the other side. My husband and I used to run into her at the Salt Lake Temple on occasion and it was always a joy to be greeted with her smile. Nadine was near and dear to our hearts.

to the "other" Nadine in my life....could even call you the 2nd neighborhood mom to me. Your daughters were my "big" sisters since I was the oldest. Always loved your sons and appreciated so much all that Cal gave to everyone. You were an amazing woman, wonderful leader, example, teacher, friend and mother to so many more than just your family. Dear Cook Family,
Nadine was the best! I was a member of her Primary class in the early 60's. She not only taught the lessons, but she lived them and was always a loving example to me and the thousands she has touched with her life. She would greet me with a hug and that darling warm smile. Our family has been blessed by our interactions with Sister Cook and her great family. My mother will especially miss Nadine's kind and empathetic friendship. Dear Julie and Cook family. Years ago you told me about your Dad gathering the family together and giving each of you $100.00 to sit down and listen to his testimony of the gospel. I was so impressed that he knew what it would take for a bunch of teenagers and young adults to take the time to listen to their dad. It was around that time that I met your mom.
