Jen has gone to a place where the only tears are tears of joy, and pain and sorrow are no more. Our Hevenly Father has a plan and purpose for us all, and he will comfort you in your time of grief. I went to Jr. high, and High School with Jen and haven't seen her since, and she was always smiling ang laughing everytime I saw her. She will be missed, but never forgotten. May God comfort you and your son in knowing he had a bigger purpose for her in heaven.

Ryan, some people will spend a lifetime and never have what you and Jen have. I say "have" instead of "had" because you you sitll have it and always will. Everyone has a purpose in this life & when that purpose has been fulfilled, they go home to their Heavenly Father for a greater purpose. Jen's purpose was to help you to become the man you are today & to bring that special little spirit into this life. You will be fine and so will Noah. Even though it will be very hard, you can do this. Your mother is an angel here on this earth. Lean on her and let her help you raise that little guy. After all, look at the wonderful job she did with you. The time will pass faster than you can possibly imagine and then you and your sweet wife wil be together again. Isn't it wonderful that you know that? We all love you very much and will be there for you if you need any of us. I am a great babysitter if you ever need me. Love Melanie

Ryan and Noah, I know you don't know me, but I grew up with Jen. It has been a couple years since I have seen her and I was deeply saddened to hear of her passing. My heart goes out to you both and I pray that the Savior will help you find your way during this trying time.
Doctor and Sister Smith, I am SO sorry for your loss! Jen was amazing. Always happy, always kind to others, and even though we lost contact after High School, I will always remember her and the example she was in my life. My prayers are with you and your other sweet daughters.

To Ryan and Noah,
My deepest thoughts are for you two. Words seem so small at a time like this. I'm sorry! I loved Jenn's personality. It was impossible to be around her without feeling very enthused. She leaves two guys who are much the same.

I remember shortly after I told Jen I was pregnant in early 2008, she drove by to see me shoveling a part of my driveway so I could get my car into the garage. She stopped her car and yelled out at me: "Hey, what are you doing shoveling, pregnant lady!??!" I remember going to her and Ryan's house for dinner one night and playing Scrabble afterwards - she kicked all our butts! I have many wonderful memories of Jen that I will always cherish. Jen, you will be so greatly missed by everyone who knows you. We knew the moment we met you that you were an exceptionally special person. Ryan, Noah and all of Jen's family - you will be in our thoughts and prayers every day.

Even though we have not been in contact for some time now I have kept in touch with your lives through both your brothers and your blogs. I want you to know that the trials you have faced would be to much for many (myself included) You have faced them with such courage and faith. Your testimony is an inspiration to me and my family. There are no words that I can offer that would lighten your load, or ease your burden in what you are going through so just let me tell you that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. May God give you the strength and peace you need and deserve at this time in your life, and lastly thank you for your example of how to live a life worthy to return to our father in heaven as an eternal family.

Ryan, Joanne and Dean,
Jennifer was the most courageous patient I have ever had. She was always kind, polite and thankful to all of us, even when she was her sickest. She always had the stamina to show her appreciation and say thank you. That ment a lot to me. Such a fighter. I wish you all the strength you will need to endure the loss.

Jen, you were a friend when I really needed one. Your example makes me want to be a better to person, to notice others who are in need, and to do it all with your same self-less attitude. What an incredible legacy Jen leaves with us! My heart and prayers go out to you Ryan, and to her little Noah.
