Stacey Wolfley Obituary

Stacey Lynn Lambert Wolfley 1978 ~ 2009 Stacey Lynn Lambert Wolfley, "The Thrifty Chick", loving wife, devoted mother, sister, daughter, and loyal friend suffered a stroke on July 13, 2009, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Stacey passed away with her husband by her side. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, June 4, 1978, to Kenneth Lynn Lambert and Susan Annette Judy. She spent her childhood in West Jordan. She married her eternal companion Mitchell Duncan Wolfley on May 20, 2005 in the Jordan River Temple. Together they have four beautiful children; Kayley Nicole (8), Emma Sue (3), Bridger Wan (2) and Greyson Lynn (14 days). Stacey was a proud, devoted and busy mother. She dedicated her life to teaching her children through example; love, respect, responsibility, kindness, determination and a strong testimony in their Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was thankful for all of the blessings in her life, even the smallest ones. She was dedicated to preserving her family history for her children. She was an artist of language and her daily updates on her family blog will be missed by her family and friends. She had a passion for photography and saw the beauty in everything and everyone. Stacey was always willing to lend a helping hand whether it is by sharing the fruits of her labor or by patiently teaching others to master a skill. She had many devoted fans that visited her "The Thrifty Chick" blog. Her site was dedicated to inspiring creativity on a budget centered on time spent as a family. She "made cheap look good". The Lord must have needed a skilled genealogist (scrapbooker) in heaven and only the most skilled would do. She was a scrapbooking master and leaves behind a visual record of the precious time her family spent together. Stacey is survived by her husband, children and parents; her siblings: Jeremy (Karlie) Lambert, Jana (Jeremy) Mitchell, Cami (Tyler) Morrill, Carrie Lambert, Holly (David) McNichols, Lindsay Lambert, Melissa Lambert, Amy Lambert, Kristin Lambert; her Wolfley family: Wan and Susan Wolfley, Christopher (Rachael) Wolfley, Jennifer (Darrin) Collard, Kenneth (Erin) Wolfley, Rebecca Wolfley, Sandi Wolfley, 10 nieces and eight nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 17, 2009 at the Hyrum 4th Ward Chapel, 245 Apple Drive, West Jordan. Friends and family may call Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Mountain Shadows Ward, 7925 South 2700 West, West Jordan. Cache Valley friends and family may call Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan and Friday at the church in Hyrum from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Paradise Cemetery. Condolences may be extended to the family online at www.nelsonfuneralhome.com.

I only knew Stacey through her "Thrifty Chick" blog, but she had already become a friend of mine. We enjoyed commenting back and forth about each other's creations and she even made my daughter a super hero cape from a giveaway she held (even though I didn't technically win the giveaway). She was so thoughtful and I was hoping to have been able to return the favor to her. I am so sorry for the loss you have experienced. I know I don't know your family, but because of her goodness and sweetness, I know what kind of family you must be. She has touched so many people. May the Lord watch over you at this time, and I'm sure Stacey is as well.

My friend just told me about this story yesterday while our children were taking swimming lessons. She was a huge fan and just can't believe that she passed so suddenly. I've seen others write how they will now include themselves (the mother) in more pictures since they are usually the one behind the camera. Stacey has touched my life with her story, and my prayers go out to her family and friends that knew her. Please know that she has made a difference in this world. Your life can be changed forever in a moment, Stacey obviously didn't waste a single second of hers, God bless her little girl heart.

I met Stacy where we both worked some years ago, and was impressed with her absolute joy in being a mother. She was one of the most giving people I've ever known, and she was such a sweet and kind help to me always. May her children always know how blessed they were to have her as their mother, and my condolences to all of you.

To my old friends and neighbors...
My deepest sympathies go out to you and Stacey's husband and children. I know it's been years since I've seen any of you, but my childhood days cannot be remembered without the Lambert family in them. Stacey was a good part of our fun summer days-- running through the sprinklers, playing in the backyard fort, haunted houses in the basement, riding our bikes, etc.

Being a mother of three, my heart goes out to her husband and children for their loss. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this difficult time in your lives. May our Heavenly Father comfort you...

Love,

Ed Colburn

Dear Lambert and Wolfley Families,

My heart aches with the news of the passing of Stacey. I did not know Stacey very well, but know her sister Janna and the twins, Melissa and Lindsey very well. I know Stacey's passing will leave her deep abiding love and an indelible emptiness within many hearts.
It is difficult to imagine at this time why our Heavenly Father calls home someone so full of purpose and life. We must trust His judgment and deep abiding love for each of His children.
Time in this Earth life is short and a joyful Eternity awaits.
I like to imagine that Stacey and Sarah will labor together on the other side of the veil until our happy reunions.
Peace, our sympathies and our love to each and everyone of you during this very sad time.
"Be still and know I am God"

Fondly, Kathy, Rebekah and Elder Matthew Lohmeyer
