Floyd Burgess Obituary

Floyd LeRoy Burgess 1932 ~ 2007 Floyd LeRoy Burgess, master mechanic extraordinaire, died quietly in his home Saturday April 7th 2007 at 5:30 p.m. Born August 24th, 1932 in KayLynn Nevada (underneath Lake Mead) to Joseph Henry, and Matilda Hill, Burgess. Survived by wife, Bonnie Joan Tait of 38 years; son, Steven "Rick," (wife, Judy); daughter, Wendy (husband, Darrel); 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; as well as a multitude of loved ones in his extended families. He cared for many, but will be missed by masses. A man of service and solitude of humble pride and fortitude. Took joy in his life with all that he did, serving and caring for half of his kids. He smiled, he laughed, he farted with no shame, and stood there not caring, taking the blame. So those of you out there who knew this man true, come share with us, swear with us, the way that we do....Thursday, April 12th. Graveside services at 1 p.m. Memorial Estates Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah, 84123.

Fathers are a special thing, and it sounds like yours was quite a character and someone we all wish we would have known better. But we have been blessed by him through his daughter Wendy and we all thank him for her. Your family is in our prayers.
