To The Davis Family: I am just learning of the passing of Pierre from Curtis. I truly am sorry for your loss. I am the Mother of Jihad and I know he will take this information hard when I inform him. He has always considered Pierre as a "father" to him. May God continue to bless the family and keep each of you strong.
God Bless You....

Toni, it has been hard to find just the right words to say even though we have been in touch throughout the years on a regular basis and have remained best friends since the 2nd Grade. How many people can say that? But, it hasn't made this any easier for me to express my sympathy.
I still remember when Pierre became your new best friend and, Oh! was that an adjustment, lol, however, as we got to know each other over the years, we would talk for hours and Pierre would tell me that you were on punishment and couldn't talk to me, as he continued to coverse with me just to aggravate you...lol And that was just one example of things he would do just to get a rise out of you. LOL. Now, I know why my sweet Godson is sooooo crazy.,,LOL Throughtout the years we managed to figured out that there was room for all friendships and family and how important they are.
Pierre was really funny sometimes, especially some of the ways he looked at life, but Toni, you know that I really loved him and this situation made me feel more helpless than I have ever have during our years of friendship. I hope you know that if i could have took this pain away or could have found the perfect words, I would have!
Pierre really loved his family and found the time to care for others, I know for that he will be blessed.
He has left behind handsome sons, beautiful daughters, grandchildren and an
extremly supportive and loving group of family and friends whose memories will hopefully give them comfort in their time of need.
P.S. Pierre, I hope you , now know i didn't make that bet..lol
*May the Lord bless and keep you all throughout the years with his tender love and grace*
I Love you all!

Your BFF,

To Toni and family,
My deepest and most sincere condolences cousin. I know more than most how hard it is to lose family as I have lost, mates, children and now a parent. The days will however get a little easier to face if each day you take just one moment to thank God for your own life and the joy that he allowed you to share with someone else. The pain will ease eventually and only you and your maker will know how long and how hard your road is back to peace. I only had the pleasure of meeting you once as we all so much appreciated your presence at John Henry Jr.'s Memorial Service back in October and I never had the joy of meeting Pierre but we will all say prayers here for his safe and peaceful delivery into the arms of his maker, even more so because he was family. I would have loved to come as many here wanted to but the weather and current circumstances just didn't allow it. We do however as I said before send our prayers and our wishes for comfort for you and yours in this hour of need. My God bless you and comfort you at this most dark and troubled time but give you joy and a rejoicing heart in knowing Pierre has been called home to his reward.

All these years have passed but I have never forgotten all of you out in Cleveland and the fun times I had with you on my visits to my mother's. Oh the memories! I certainly wish I would have keep in touch with all of you, but my visits to Cleveland diminished as I grew older and had a family of my own. I want to express my deep sorrow in hearing about the passing of Pierre to his wife and family, and also to you Patti and Paul. I wish I could be there for the service, but as you know my mother's funeral is the same day in Lancaster,Pa. Please feel free to contact me @ [email protected] I would love to hear from you! My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. With my deepest sympathy, Michael C. Wright " Memories are a gift from God to those left behind. Pierre will live on in each of our hearts. I can see his smile now as he has always had a loving presence about him. My prayer is for the family and all whom have been touched by Pierre and are mourning: May God enter our hearts and show us His comfort, May our memories of Pierre live forever in our hearts, mind and soul and may we share those memories in hopes that through them Pierre's spirit lives on with us. Toni, Tranee, Perry, I love you all and my love is with the entire family as we celebrate the life of a great man.

Dear Toni & Family... Although the weather and Presidential Inaugural activities are hindering our physical presence at Pierre's home-going celebrations, our thoughts and prayers are with you. We pray that comfort and peace are bestowed upon you in knowing that Pierre is in a pain-free and peaceful place, who will always be a guardian angel to you all. Much love.

I grew up in Cleveland Heights with Pierre and the Davis family. When I received word that he had passed away I couldn't believe it! I began to remember him as a fun loving guy who seemed to always have a smile on his face. The last time I talked to him, we talked about our experiences living in the Heights, his family, and especially his brother Perry. Now my thoughts and prayers are with his family. To Patti and the family, god bless you all. God will comfort you with memories. So sorry to hear of your loss.

When I first met Pierre, I gave him a hard time. He told me that he was going to marry Toni and I teased him and said he was not good enough for Toni. Well he fooled me. Pierre impressed me so much when he took custody of his children and work so had to be a good provider for his family. He always told me how much he loved Toni and his children. When he did not have a job he started his own business. He was a hard worker even working through pain and discomfort. I will always remember his smile and his warm kind spirit. I will miss Pierre. Love to all of the family. Freddie
