Franklin Kent Obituary

KENT Franklin R. Kent, age 74, of Hilliard, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2009. U.S. Air Force Veteran. He was a meat cutter for The Kroger Co. for many years and retired from Raymond Memorial Golf Course. Frank enjoyed hunting and was an avid golfer. Preceded in death by parents Raymond and Gusty, brother Willard and sisters Mary Lou Riffe and Gail Byrd. Survived by loving wife of 52 years, Velma; children, Vikki (Dan) Farrell, Dinni (Joe) McCain and David (Barb) Kent; brother, Roger (Helen) Kent; sister, Nancy Barnette; grandchildren, Jesse, Megan, Katie, Andrew, Rachael, and Joshua; great-grandchildren, Evan and Lia; and many loving relatives and friends. Family will receive friends 1-3 p.m., Wednesday at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, where a memorial service will follow at 3 p.m., Wednesday with Pastor Barry Scott officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, 6500 Busch Boulevard, Sutie 210, Columbus, OH 43229. www.tiddfuneralservice.com.
