My cousin Nancy will live on in the memories of everyone who had the pleasure to be around her. She leaves her mark on the many lives she touched with her gift of kindness and love. I have so many fond memories of our time together. It did not matter how many years had passed between visits, Nancy had that amazing ability to make you feel as if no time had passed. She would give me a hug, and with her warm smile, and eyes gleaming, say, "So! How 'ya doin kiddo!" Her greatest gift of all is the beautiful family that she and Howard have given the world. A family who will always be blessed and enriched by the guiding light of Nancy's heart and soul.

Your mom was such a gentle and kind spirited woman. I will never forget how I looked forward to ya'll coming to Pennsylvania to visit with your grandparents. Your mom's sweet smile now fills heaven. I am so blessed to have known her. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

What wonderful memories I have, as a young girl, of the excitement I felt when my cousin "Nanc" was coming for a visit or my family's summer vacations in Springboro and our trips to Cape Cod. I couldn't wait to be around her. She radiated goodness, warmth and fun and her gorgeous dimpled smile and beautiful twinkling eyes will stay with me forever. Our very special Nancy will always be lovingly remembered and dearly missed.

Dear Howard and family,
Nancy was a determined Christian! She impressed us with her no nonsense commitment to Christ as a member of the church God called us to pastor, Pleasant Street Baptist in Worcester, MA. And, Howard, how well do we remember that she was determined that you find Christ as your own Lord and Savior. And find Christ you did, in such a marvelous and miraculous way. And Nancy was determined that her children find and follow Him as well...and that they did. Hers was a no nonsense commitment to Christ, His church, your family and others in the circle God drew around her! Even through she is so quickly gone, her sense of purpose lives on in all of you and in those who knew and loved her. We can all thank God that His determined ways were reflected in her life. When we worked at WLD together, Dan and I were sometimes mistaken for brothers, and Mrs.S. always treated me like part of the family. Of course, she did the same for any of her kids' friends who would show up at their house at any time, and sometimes in large numbers. Their home was always open and she always made us feel welcome. -- My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Nancy was a true classy lady. She was warm, hospitable and had a great sense of humor. She has left a legacy for her children to carry on. Her love of Christ, family and people was evident. Dear Steinfield family,
I'd like to express my heartfelt sympathies at your loss. I had the pleasure of spending a day with Nancy, Howie, Amy and her husband in San Fransisco several years ago while I was living with my Uncle Mark, Nancy's cousin, in San Jose. Although my time with Nancy was brief, she made a strong impression on me. I was struck by her exceptional kindness and sincerity, qualities clearly reflected in the rest of her family. I'll keep her and those closest to her in my thoughts and prayers.

Nancy was my cousin. To know her was to love her, someone you were always excited to see and be with. One could go on endlessly about what made her special. In a word, Nancy was extraordinary. She'll be missed dearly.

Although I had not the opportunity to spend much time with Nancy, I will always remember how much fun and encouraging she was. In my youth, I was always excited to join my Grandparents on their visits to PA.

When I think of my cousin Nancy, I remember her as being such a lady, full of class, grace and hospitality combined with those beautiful Covert eyes that lit up whenever she talked, she always wore a smile that would light up those eyes. She adored her family, near and far, even her cousins were important to her, being an only child. My dad, her Uncle Bob, was special to her when she was just a child, and he must have adored her too since he went on to name me after her. I know at 83 he misses her greatly, which proves her passing has touched many people of all ages and in many different ways because of how involved she was in the world around her. Her legacy lives on in her beautiful children who will pass that same grace and beauty onto her grandchildren. How befitting that the name Nancy means "full of grace" because Nancy was indeed full of grace.

Mrs. Steinfield was a wonderful person. I've known her since the years of Furman and yet I know that there was still so much more that I could have learned from her. She will be greatly missed. Nancy left a wonderful legacy, she was such a servant and prayer warrior. She was such a good witness to young girls teaching Sunday School for years faithfully. We will miss her. Our Prayers to the family, God give you strength and comfort in the days to come.
