Marie B. Smith Marie B. Smith, age 81, of Erie, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at her residence. Born in Erie on September 12, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Claude M. and Olga A. (Smith) Bundy. Before retiring, she was a secretary for the Erie School District at Strong Vincent High School. She was a member of Saint Jude the Apostle Church. Survivors include her husband of 58 years, John E. “Jack” Smith; a daughter, Joan “Jody” Loesel and her husband Doug, of Erie; two grandchildren, Katie and Julie Loesel; a sister, Joanne Figurski and her husband Harry, of Erie; a brother-in-law, Ronald Smith of Union City, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Brugger Home for Funerals, 1595 West 38th Street at Greengarden Boulevard, on Friday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., at which time a service will be held, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Jude the Apostle Church at 1:30 p.m. Burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
