Richard Ross Obituary

Richard C. Ross Jr. life long West Townsend resident; 72 West Townsend Richard C. Ross Jr., 72, died Friday, June 27 at the Apple Valley Center in Ayer. Mr. Ross was born Fitchburg, October 14, 1935 a son of Richard C. Ross Sr. and Alma (Nelson) Ross and has resided in West Townsend his entire life. Mr. Ross's wife of 39 years Roberta M. (Mills) Ross died in November, 2000. Mr. Ross is survived by three son and two daughters in law; Craig S. and Laura Ross of Grand Junction, Colorado, Roger C. Ross of Fitchburg, Keith M. and Tina Ross of Ashby, one daughter and son in law; Richelle and Wayne Thomas of Townsend, one sister; Dorothy Lovering of St. Petersburg, Florida, eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Mr. Ross was the brother of the late Betty Prundt. Mr. Ross was a self employed auto mechanic and owner of the former Ross Garage in Townsend. Mr. Ross was an avid car and hot rod enthusiast. He also enjoyed antiques and was a coin collector. ROSS Calling hours are from 6-8 Friday, July 11 at the T. J. Anderson & Son Funeral Home, 250 Main St., Townsend. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Townsend. Please see www.andersonfuneral.com for additional information.
