I did not have the pleasure of knowing Rachel, however I knew her grandparents Chet and Norma, and her mother Leslie. I didn't need to know Rachel to feel the depth of loss of a beautiful, innocent child and to wonder why such a senseless tragedy should befall a wholesome and loving family. No words can bring consolation. My hope is that Rachel will be cherished in memory and that her memory will enrich the lives of those she touched, and that time will heal the broken hearts of her loved ones.

Dear Lee Family,
I do not know anything to say at a time like this other than you are in our thoughts and prayers as you have been so frequently over the past year. I did not know Rachel personally, my son Patrick went to pre school with Jessica but over the last year she has touched all our lives somehow. For me, it was to thank God everyday for every minute I spend with my children, to not take anything for granted and to not sweat the small stuff because each day is truly a blessing no matter how bad of a day it seems. My family and I will continue to pray each day for you and your family. God Bless.

When we returned from vacation, our hearts were sadden to hear of your devastating loss.
We had the pleasure of getting to know Rachel as our son Tristan was in her class at St. Joseph School. She was such a sweet, happy girl, always smiling and so polite. I don't think any of us can ever understand why things happen the way they do, or when they do. God must have needed another little angel up in heaven with him sooner than planned. Our hearts go out to you and your entire family. We can only imagine your pain and sorrow. Please know that we are thinking of you and will be keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers.
