J. Bourque Obituary

J. Leo Bourque WW II Veteran; Former Fitchburg Resident BREWSTER J. Leo Bourque, died at Epoch of Brewster, on Saturday, July 19, 2008, at the age of 97. He was the husband of the late Clara (Lamothe) Bourque, the love of his life. Leo was born and raised in Fitchburg, where he was a longtime resident. He was the son of Edmund and Elmira (Robichaud) Bourque. Mr. Bourque was a veteran of WW II. He enlisted in the U. S. Navy and served in the Seabees, before an honorable discharge in 1945. After the War, Leo started his own painting business. He ran it for many years before he retired to Cape Cod. He enjoyed fishing and clamming. He is survived by his loving daughter, Beverly V. and her husband, Michael T. Grady of Brewster, MA; grandfather of Kim (Grady) Vandenberg and her husband, Troy, Todd Grady and his wife, Susan (Milk) and Kerry (Grady) Brooks and her husband, Devon; great-grandfather of Kyle, Kevin and Andrew Vandenberg; Michael and Zachary Grady; Kayla and Karma Brooks. Brother of Francis Bourque, Joseph Robert Bourque, Raymond Bourque, Blanche Method and the late Arthur Bourque, Henry Bourque, Emil Bourque, Rene Bourque, Lina Morin, Marguerite Forest, Lilian Bourque, Alice Lystila Varga, Louise Dahart, Beatrice Leger, and Yvonne Bourque. BOURQUE A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, August 21 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Joseph Church, Fitchburg, MA. Burial will be private.
