Alice Aho Obituary

Alice E. Aho of Lunenburg, Digital Corp. retiree; 76 LUNENBURG Alice E. Aho, 76, of Lunenburg, died Friday, August 15, at Keystone Center in Leominster. Alice was born in Fitchburg, September 13, 1931, the daughter of John William and Annie (Laiho) Aho. She grew up in Lunenburg and graduated from Lunenburg High School in 1949, and from Tufts University in Boston in 1953. She also did graduate work at Stanford University and Boston University. Alice was a technical writer and editor in the aerospace and computer industry. She worked for several companies during her working career and retired from Digital Equipment Corp. Alice was a former member of the Sierra Club. She loved the outdoors and hiking. She was very well travelled including the U.S.A., Europe and Finland. Alice leaves her brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Elaine Aho of West Townsend; her sister, Esther M. Aho of Chelmsford; her nephews, John Hamel and his wife, Roberta of Pepperell, James Hamel and his wife, Kathleen of Fishers, IN, and Michael Hamel and his wife, Janice of Baldwinville; several grandnieces and grandnephews. AHO Funeral services and burial will be private. Bosk Funeral Home, 85 Blossom St., Fitchburg is assisting the family.

Alice was a classmate of mine at LHS 1949. I shall always remember her quiet manner and brilliant mind. Deepest sympathy to all the Aho family.
