Bernard S. Linenkemper Jr.

Bernard S. Linenkemper, Jr. of Leominster; 84 Leominster Bernard S. Linenkemper, Jr., 84, of Leominster, died Sunday, September 14, in Health Alliance Leominster Hospital after an illness. He leaves his wife of 62 years, Sarah (Amico) Linenkemper; his daughters, Gale and her husband John Cordio of Fitchburg, and Patti Linenkemper of Leominster; two grandchildren, Kelly and her husband Larry Cordio, Scott and his wife Alyson Cordio, all of Leominster; four great grandsons, Cameron, Lucas, Jack, and Joshua Cordio, all of Leominster; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Walter H. Linenkemper, and a sister, Mary Elizabeth Cormier. He was born son of the late Bernard S. Sr. and Elizabeth Clish Linenkemper. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a Signalman First Class from 1942-1946 receiving 5 Medals of Honor. He retired from the Leominster Fire Department in 1982 after 27 years of service (1955-1982). LINENKEMPER Calling hours are Wednesday, September 17, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. The Memorial Service will be Wednesday, September 17, at 7:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
