Elisabeth Urquhart Obituary

Elisabeth 'Else' Urquhart formerly of Fitchburg; 95 CARSON CITY, Nevada Elisabeth "Else" Urquhart, 95, of Carson City, was born July 7, 1913 in Friedberg, Germany and passed away September 7, 2008 in Carson City, Nevada. Her first husband was killed in WWII, and she later remarried an American soldier stationed in Germany in 1955. She enjoyed arts and crafts and loved traveling. Else moved to the U.S. in 1956, living in Massachusetts until 1994. She then moved to Sunnyvale, CA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Urquhart; and by 1 brother and 1 sister. Else is survived by her daughters, Dojo Readhead, and husband, Gary of Carson City, Nevada, and Mary M. Hasselmann, and husband, Stan of Rindge, New Hampshire; and 3 grandchildren, Jesse Edmands, Scott Hasselmann, Dojo Hasselmann; and 1 great-grandchild, Timothy Michael Baker. URQUHART A memorial service was held on September 15th, 2008 at Walton's Chapel of the Valley in Carson City, Nevada. A Celebration of Life service will be held in Massachusetts at a later date.

My deepest sympathy to the the family of Elisabeth "Else" Urquhart. I have many fond memories of working with Elisabeth at the VMC Histsorical Society Holiday Craft Faire for many years before her move to Carson City, Nevada. She will be greatly missed with her friendly smile and her out put of wonderful crafts. I am sorry I will not be able to make the services. Again my sincerest condolecene.
