Roland "Joe" Pelletier

Roland 'Joe' Pelletier of Fitchburg, retired school bus driver; 72 FITCHBURG Roland "Joe" Pelletier, 72, of Fitchburg, died September 18, in UMass Medical Center. He was born in Fitchburg, September 28, 1935, son of the late Rudolph and Desneige (Laprise) Pelletier. He attended Saint Francis School. Mr. Pelletier served in the National Guard, and worked for Laidlaw/First Student Bus Company, as a bus driver for several years. He enjoyed camping, a good campfire, being outdoors, and driving his bus. His 1st wife, Doris (Jess) Pelletier, died in 1976. He was also predeceased by his son, Darryl, his brothers, Raymond and Robert Pelletier. He leaves his wife, Nancy (Marvel) Pelletier; 2 daughters, Doreen Ares and her husband, Paul of Fitchburg, and Denise Walsh of Gardner; 2 sons, David Pelletier and his wife, Andrea of Lunenburg, and Darryn Pelletier and his wife, Marleen of Athol; daughter-in-law, Michelle Pelletier of Leominster; stepchildren, Wayne, Bonnie, Brenda, and Bruce Knox; 1 brother, Rene Pelletier and his wife, Lil of Fitchburg; 2 sisters, Claire Trainque of Westminster, and Theresa Lastella and her husband, Bob of Gardner; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, & nephews. PELLETIER Calling hours will precede the service Monday, September 22, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. A Memorial service will be held Monday, September 22, at 7:00 P.M. in Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
