Andre Trainque Obituary

Andre Joseph Trainque of Westminster; 80 Westminster Andre (Andy) Joseph Trainque, 80, died Monday, September 29, 2008 at his home after an illness. Andy was born in Fitchburg on February 3, 1928 a son of the late Victor G. and Marguerite D. (Dauphinais) Trainque. He attended St. Joseph's School, and graduated from St. Bernard's Catholic High School. He also attended the La Salette Seminary in Hartford CT, for two years. On June 15, 1953 Andy joined the US Army and served during the Korean War, until his Honorable discharge as a Corporal on May 20, 1955. Andy and Mary were married on April 7, 1956 in St. Anna's Church in Leominster. Andy worked for over 30 years as Maintenance Superintendent for Kenmark Realty Co. in Leominster. He also worked for St. Edward the Confessor Church for 18 years as the Maintenance Supervisor. He was also a Carpenter and loved sailing, drives to the ocean. Andy was an artist who loved to paint, and enjoyed fishing. Andy was a member of St. Edward the Confessor Church and was an alter server. He was also a member of the William S. Miller, American Legion Post in Westminster and a member of the Leominster Artist's Association in Leominster. Andy leaves his wife of 52 years Mary Rose (Proietti) Trainque, two sons and daughters-in-law Mike and Barbara Trainque of Chester, N.H., Dan and Patricia Trainque of Rockland, seven grandchildren, Evan Trainque, Rachel Trainque both of Chester, N.H., Gregg Trainque of Brookline, Eric Trainque, Aislynne Trainque both of Maine, Allison Trainque and Emile Trainque both of Rockland, two brothers Victor Trainque of Brimfield, Arthur Trainque of Hubbardston, one sister Elianne Scapparone of Westminster, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by two brothers, Lionel Trainque and Wilfred Trainque. TRAINQUE His Funeral will be held on Friday, October 3, 2008 from the Sawyer-Miller-Masciarelli Funeral Home, 123 Main Street, Westminster, MA 01473, (www.masciarellifamilyfuneralhomes.net), with a Mass at 10:00 A.M. in St. Edward the Confessor Church, 10 Church Street, Westminster, MA 01473. Burial will be private at St. Joseph's Cemetery, 486 Clarendon Street, Fitchburg. Calling Hours will be on Thursday, October 2, 2008 from 4:00-7:00 P.M. in the Funeral Home. In lieu of Flowers, Memorial Contributions can be made either the St. Edward the Confessor Building Fund, 10 Church Street, Westminster, MA, or the Westminster Fire Rescue Fund, 7 South Street, Westminster, MA 01473 or may be left at the Funeral Home.

While I have been away from the neighborhood for many years, my memories of Andy always bring a warm and gentle feeling. He and his Mary were a part of our lives as we grew on Turnpike Road. My sincere condolences to Mary and the boys.

Mr. Trainque will be missed by all of us but most especially those that were closest to him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and we hope that as the days pass 52 years of wonderful memories will bring you smiles through your tears.
