Claire Sarkin Obituary

Claire Sarkin lifelong resident of Fitchburg; 93 Fitchburg Claire (Harris) Sarkin, 93, of Fitchburg, died Sunday October 12, at Life Care Center in Leominster. Claire was born in Fitchburg July 24, 1915, the daughter of John and Lillian Harris, and was a lifelong resident. She graduated from Fitchburg High School in 1934. She was a cook for many years at the former Bailey's Restaurant in Lunenburg. Claire is survived by her step-sons Francis Sarkin of Nevada, and Robert Sarkin or Corpus Christie, Texas. Two step-grandchildren. Her very close friends and care-givers, Sandra and John Tuunanen of Lunenburg. Her husband of 34 years, Max Samuel Sarkin died February 20, 1972. Her step-son David J. Sarkin died May 30, 1987. SARKIN A graveside service will be held on Wednesday October 15, 2008 at 11 a.m. in Forest Hill Cemetery, Fitchburg, Pastor Edward R. Neuhaus will officiate. There are no calling hours. Contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice. Bosk Funeral Home, 85 Blossom St., is assisting the family. www.boskfuneralhome.com
