Richard Aho Obituary

Richard J. Aho of West Townsend; 73 W. Townsend Richard J. Aho, 73, of West Townsend, died Monday October 13, at home after an illness. Richard was born in Fitchburg, August 10, 1935, the son of John William and Annie (Laiho) Aho. He graduated from Lunenburg High School in 1953 and from Brown University in 1957 with an engineering degree. He was employed for 25 years as an engineer at N.E.B.S. New England Business Machines. He retired in 1995. Richard leaves his wife of 32 years, Elaine F. (Frenette) Aho. They were married December 20, 1975. His sons and their spouses, John and Roberta Hamel of Pepperell, James and Kathleen Hamel of Fishers, In. and Michael and Janice Hamel of Baldwinville. Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His sister Alice E. Aho died August 15, 2008. AHO Funeral services and burial will be private. Bosk Funeral Home 85 Blossom St. is assisting the family.

Dick was one of the most intelligent, kind, nicest men I have known. I will always remember the help he gave my parents when they wanted to surprise me with my first computer. My thoughts are with the family, and especially with Elaine.
