Gerard Bourgault Obituary

Gerard R. Bourgault lifelong resident of Fitchburg; 78 Fitchburg Gerard R. Bourgault, 78, died Sunday, October 19 at his residence. Mr. Bourgault was born in Fitchburg, October 30, 1929, a son of Willie J. and Rose (Bolduc) Bourgault and was a lifelong resident of Fitchburg. Mr. Bourgault was formerly employed at the James River Paper Company in Fitchburg as a papermaker retiring in 1986. He then worked at the former Prime Value Mart of Fitchburg. Mr. Bourgault served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Bourgault was a member of the American Legion Post 429 in the Cleghorn section of Fitchburg. He was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church in Fitchburg and he also attended the Madonna of the Holy Rosary Church of Fitchburg. He was a graduate of St. Bernard's High School, Class of 1948. Mr. Bourgault is survived by a brother, Leo P. Bourgault of Troy, NY; nephews, Mark and Gary Brousseau of Fitchburg; niece, Debra Stewart of Fitchburg; his nephews, Brian, Steven, Kyle, Kurt Bourgault of Troy, NY, and his nieces, April Galipeau and Michelle Ring also of Troy, Ny; as well as several cousins. Mr. Bourgault was the brother of the late Rita D. Brousseau who died in 1991. BOURGAULT A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 Thursday, October 23 at St. Joseph's Church, 49 Woodland St., Fitchburg. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Calling hours are from 6-8 Wednesday at the Louis M. Isabelle Funeral Home, 316 Clarendon St. Fitchburg. Please see. www.isabellefuneral.com for additional information.
