Rosa Sullivan Obituary

Rosa Sullivan of Ashburnham; 84 ASHBURNHAM Rosa (Evaniuk) Sullivan, of Ashburnham, MA, 84 years old, now rests in the hands of the Lord our Father. She peacefully left her place here on earth to enter heaven on Sunday, October 26, 2008, while in the care of New England Hospice at the LaChance Center in Gardner with her family at her bedside. She was born in Templeton, MA, July 30, 1924, and lived in Ashburnham with her son, Brian and daughter-in-law, Jan Sullivan for many years. Her husband, Patrick Sullivan who passed away in 1977 predeceases her. She is survived by her son, Brian Sullivan and wife, Jan of Ashburnham; daughter, Rose Genest and husband, Raymond of Ashburnham, daughter, Sheila Sullivan of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; son, Kevin Sullivan of Gardner; close family friend, Laura Cote of Gardner; granddaughter, Amy Fischer and husband, Phil of Ashburnham; granddaughter, Mary Crumpton and husband, Todd of Leominster; granddaughter, Cindy Sullivan of Gardner; great-grandchildren, Emily & Evan Crumpton, Brendan and Savannah Sullivan. Rosa enjoyed watching her favorite ball team, The Atlanta Braves, reading, her flower garden, and caring for her grand dogs that she loved very much and will now be reunited with them. She was a live-in housemother at the PYC for girls in Baldwinville many years ago. She also worked as a nurse's aide at the Baldwinville Nursing Home for a short time. She worked at the PYCA Thrift store in Gardner years ago. She was loved and will be truly be missed by her family and friends. The family thanks all who prayed for her and for her peaceful passing. SULLIVAN There will be no funeral or calling hours. A memorial service will be held at a later time. The family requests that a memorial donation be made in her name to the: Anatomical Donation Program, University of Mass Medical School (UMMS), 55 Lake Ave., N. Worcester, MA 01655-0002 or New England Hospice Service, 190 Old Derby St., Hingham, MA 02043.
