Robert Smart Obituary

Robert A. 'Max' Smart lifelong Leominster resident, Army vet; 64 LEOMINSTER Robert A. "Max" Smart, 64, of Leominster, died Friday, October 31, at the UMass Medical Center University Campus in Worcester. Robert was born in Fitchburg, February 13, 1944, the son of George W. and Elna (Tastula) Smart. Robert lived in Leominster all his life. Robert was employed previously at the Twin City Dodge in Fitchburg for 29 years, and most recent was employed as a reconditioner at Bouchard Dodge in Fitchburg, retiring four years ago. Robert was an Army veteran of the Vietnam era serving from 1967 to 1969. Robert leaves his wife of 40 years, Joyce A. (Descoteaux) Smart of Leominster; his sons, Paul A. Smart of Fitchburg, Gary L. Smart and his wife, Patricia of Fitchburg, and Donald J. Smart of Naples, FL. His brother, Wayne Smart of Fitchburg. He is also survived by a granddaughter, Misty Ray Smart of Orange. Robert was a former member of the Emanuel Lutheran Church in Fitchburg. SMART Funeral services with Military honors will be on Tuesday, November 4 at 11:00 A.M. in the Bosk Funeral Home, 85 Blossom St. Rev Wayne Baldyga will officiate. Burial to follow at the Massachusetts Veterans Cemetery in Winchendon. Calling hours are Tuesday morning from 9 to 11 A.M. in the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 017010-4680.
