Yvonne H. LeBlanc

Yvonne H. LeBlanc of Fitchburg; 92 Fitchburg Yvonne H. (LeBlanc) LeBlanc, 92, died Tuesday, November 3rd at the University of Massachusetts Hospital, Worcester after a brief illness. Her husband of 58 years, Joseph Alyre LeBlanc, died in February 2000. Mrs. LeBlanc was born in Dorchester, NB Canada, April 18, 1916, a daughter of Blair H. and Basilice (LeBlanc) LeBlanc and resided in Fitchburg for over 70 years. Prior to her retirement in 1978, Mrs. LeBlanc worked 10 years as a bookkeeper for the W.E. Aubuchon Hardware Company. Prior to that she worked at the Family Welfare Office in Fitchburg. Mrs. LeBlanc was a daily Communicant at St. Joseph's Church in Fitchburg. She was a member of the Ladies of Ste. Anne and Ladies of Fatima. She was a former member of the American Friendship and Fitchburg Booster Clubs. Many years ago she was active in the Fitchburg Girl Scout and Boy Scout Programs. She is survived by a son, Denis E. LeBlanc of Southington, CT, three daughters, Jeanne Y. Farineau of The Villages, FL, Claire M. Selinga of Unionville, CT and Elaine A. Day of Needham, two brothers; Joseph LeBlanc and Henry LeBlanc both of Fitchburg, two sisters; Emelia Bourque of Fitchburg and Ann Croteau of Fitchburg and Port St. Lucie, FL. She also leaves eight grandchildren; Paula Whitmer, Glenn Farineau, Sharon Rewenko, Susan Larson, Thomas Day, Janet Forslund, Brian LeBlanc, Daniel LeBlanc; 13 great grandchildren; Davis Whitmer, Isabelle and Kirby Farineau, Amanda, Matthew and Jacob Rewenko, Abigail and Rachel Larson, Madeleine, Eleanor and Adam Day, Grady and Riley Forslund. She was the grandmother of the late Karen Selinga and the sister of the late Armand LeBlanc, Ernest LeBlanc and Emery LeBlanc all of Fitchburg. LEBLANC A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10am Friday at St. Joseph's Church, 49 Woodland St, Fitchburg. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours are 4-7 Thursday at The Louis M.
