John A. 'Tony' Navaroli

ENOSBURGH, VT John A. "Tony" Navaroli, age 76, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday,
November 13, 2008.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Lorraine E. (Brunelli) Navaroli, who passed away February 15, 2006, at the couple's home.
Tony was born November 16, 1931, in Clinton, MA, the son of the late Zachary & Alina (Villa) Navaroli. He
graduated early from Clinton (MA) High School before attending Clark University in Worcester, MA, as a
pre-med student.
He married his wife, Lorraine, a native of Waterbury, CT, on November 19, 1955. They moved to Ohio shortly thereafter, and eventually settled in Beavercreek, Ohio.
Tony spent nearly 30 years as a public health
administrator with the Greene County (Ohio) Health
Department in Xenia, Ohio. He played a major role in helping that community recover from a devastating
tornado in April 1974. He earned numerous professional awards during a distinguished career in the field of
public health before retiring to Vermont in 1988.
Tony greatly enjoyed country walks with Lorraine
before her passing, working in his garden, tending his home and land, woodworking, talking to his ham radio friends and spending time with his grandchildren every summer.
He is survived by his son, Randy Navaroli of Sheldon, VT; his grandchildren, Ryan Navaroli of Athens, Ohio; Lauren Navaroli of El Paso, Texas, and Zachary Navaroli of Sheldon, VT; a sister and her husband, Stella & Domenic Tresaloni of Leominster, MA; 3 sisters-in-law and their husbands, Joan & Francis Guzzardi of Waterbury, CT, Patricia & James Walsh of Oakville, CT, and Gloria Brunelli of Oakville, CT, the wife of his late brother-in-law, Louis Brunelli; a brother-in-law, John Brunelli Jr., of Oakville, CT; several nieces and
nephews; and his dog, Rudy.
NAVAROLI Tony will be laid to rest with his wife, mother and father in St. John's Cemetery in
Lancaster, MA. Funeral services will be held from the Wright-Roy Funeral Home, 109 West St., in
Leominster with a mass on Tuesday, November 18, 2008, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Anna's Catholic Church, 199 Lancaster St., Leominster, MA. There will be no visiting hours. For those who wish, contributions in Tony's memory may be made to a local chapter of the American Diabetes Association, 330 Congress St. 5th Floor, Boston, MA 02210 or the
American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
