He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary L. (Martino) Mann; his daughters, Donna Marien and her husband, William, of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Patricia Edwards and her husband, George, of Yarmouth Port; his sons, Edward Mann and his wife, Denise, of Westminster, and Kenneth Mann and his wife, Christine, of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; his sisters, Teresa Davis of Windham, Maine, and Anita Redman of South Easton; his brothers, Ronald Mann of Boca Raton, Fla., and Frank Mann of Niagara Falls, Canada; his grandchildren, Mary Jane Bourgault and her husband, Shawn, of Fitchburg, Richard Martel of Georgia, Alan Mann and Nisa Mann of Westminster, Luke Mann and Brett Mann of Ft. Lauderdale; his great-grandchildren, Jenna Bourgault of Fitchburg, Wil Martel, Emma Martel and Jillian Martel all of Boca Raton, and Jacqueline Niles of Fitchburg. He was predeceased by his son, Allan Mann, in 1968 and by four sisters, Ida Martin, Vivian Dixon, Lillian Gove, and Greta Simonetti and three brothers, Arnold Mann, John Mann and Joseph Mann.
He was born on March 9, 1925, in Restigouche, Quebec, Canada, son of Joseph H. and Mary Jane (Basque) Mann and lived in this area since 1947. He was a World War II Canadian Army veteran. Luke was a corporal, serving in the European, Sicily and African theaters. He worked for 27 years at Crocker Paper, Weyerhaeuser Paper and James River Paper Co., before retiring in 1982. He had been a member of Holy Family of Nazareth Church and the Leominster Senior Center.
MANN-- A funeral service will be Friday, Oct. 5, 2007 at 11 am in the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West St., Leominster. Burial will be in St. Leo’s Cemetery, Leominster. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 2680 North Canton, OH 44720. http://www.richardsonfuneralhome.net.
