He was born in Clinton, son of Ellsworth and Ruth ( Burwinkle ) Piper. He was a printer and owned and operated Custom Printing & Design. A member of Saint Cecilia’s parish, an avid camper.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Muriel G. (Lambert) Piper; two daughters, Suzanne M. Kinney and her husband, Richard Sr., of Leominster, Michellle R. Ferrarini and her husband, Alfred F., of Fitchburg; sister, Jane Le Clerc of Northfield; five grandchildren, Alisha Graham, Anderw Graham, Richard Kinney Jr., Heather Kinney and Connor Kinney; three great-grandchildren, Zacharie Hehir, Mea Hehir and Qianna Ferrarini; two step grandchildren, Jillian Ferrarini and Lena Ferrarini.
PIPER -- The funeral will be Wednesday, Oct. 10, from Wright-Roy Funeral Home, 109 West St., Leominster with a mass at 11 a.m. in Saint Cecilia’s Church, 169 Mechanic St. Burial will be in St. Cecilia’s cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Billy was a great guy. He always made me laugh. I will miss our talks about the different campgrounds he had visited. Whenever I was going camping at a new campground I would ask Billy if he had stayed at that particular campground and what he thought about the campground. He always gave me good advice. He will be sadly missed. My thoughts are with you.
