Katherine was born in Arlington on June 22, 1916, a daughter of the late Joseph G. and Hilda (Boyle) Bresnahan. She was a 1932 graduate of Fitchburg High School. Katherine was a sales person for the former Eve’s Kiddie Shop and Kimball’s Clothing, both of Fitchburg. She loved reading, music, traveling, her family and life itself.
She was the wife of the late Emil R. Adams, who died in 1983.
She leaves two daughters, Karen Sorenson of Fitchburg and Kathleen Hallsworth of Swanzey, N.H.; one son, Emil R. Adams Jr. of Rindge, N.H.; three granddaughters, Stephanie Folker of the United Kingdom, Wendy Stoutenburgh of North Carolina, and Kristine Smith of Lunenburg; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two brothers, John Bresnahan and Joseph Bresnahan.
ADAMS -- A funeral service will be held on Monday, Oct. 22, at 4 p.m. in the Fitchburg Chapel of the Sawyer-Miller-Masciarelli Funeral Homes (www.masciarellifamilyfuneralhomes.net), 129 Elm St., Fitchburg, MA 01420. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Fitchburg, at a later date. Calling hours will be in the funeral home on Monday prior to the funeral, from 2-4 p.m.

She was a second mother to me, made the best dam chocolet chip cookies I've ever had. So sorry to hear of Kip's passing, I still have the last letter she wrote me....what a special woman ...strong... loving....wise....gentle....she will always have a special place in my heart. My sincere sympathy.....
