He was born, June 11, 1935, in Fitchburg, son of John and Cecelia (Drinkwine) Finneron. He served in the United States Air Force in Berlin during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Finneron worked for Unitil for 35 years until his retirement in 1997. Following his retirement, he worked at Tiny’s Christmas Trees for 10 years. Mr. Finneron was a member of Saint Camillus de Lellis Parish, and a lifetime member of the British America Club serving as Secretary for several years. He loved traveling, enjoying many wonderful trips. He had a great retirement until his illness, and he enjoyed, music, reading, and working out at Global Fitness Center.
He leaves his wife of 39 years, Carole (Leupold) Finneron; daughters, Karen Nieto and her husband, Frank, of Englewood, Colo., Vickie Hurst, and Susan Dupuis and her husband, Ricky, all of Fitchburg; grandchildren, Brandon Holgin and Dawn Hurst; brothers, Robert Finneron of Leominster, and Francis Finneron of Ohio; sisters, Claire Finneron, Sr. Eileen Finneron, P.B.V.M., Marjorie Huk, Dorothea Beauvais, all of Fitchburg, and Leona Lamoureux of La.
He was predeceased by two brothers, John F. Finneron on Dec. 19, 2005, and Edward J. Finneron on Oct. 10, 2002.
FINNERON -- A memorial Mass will be held Tuesday, Oct. 23, at noon in Saint Camillus de Lellis Church, 333 Mechanic St., Fitchburg. Burial will be private in Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Diversified Visiting Nurse Association, Hospice Program, 25 Tucker Drive, Leominster, MA 01453. Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Road, Fitchburg is directing arrangements.

Carol, Vickie, Sue - Although Joe and I didn't know Dick for that long what we did know was he was a great man. He taught me alot in regards to the club. He will be sadly missed by all. Our deepest sympathy
