Katherine Jubb Obituary

SHIRLEY -- Katherine C. (Page) Jubb, 87, of 21 Holden Road, died Friday, Oct. 26, at the Nashoba Valley Medical Center, Ayer.

She was the wife of Gerald L. Jubb, who died in October 2000. Mrs. Jubb was born in Marlboro, N.H., on Oct. 28, 1918, a daughter of Floris and Ruth (Parker) Page and has resided most of her life in Shirley.

She is survived by two sons, Gerald “Skip” Jubb Jr. of Arizona and Lawrence Jubb of Colorado; three daughters, Nancy C. Fillebrown of Ayer, Marcia Hippler of Shirley, Merilee Depietro of Pennsylvania. She also leaves 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was predeceased by a son, Allen Page Jubb of Michigan, who died in 1987.

During the early 1970s she worked briefly as a teachers’ aide at the Lura A. White School in Shirley and many years ago worked at the Asher Pant Company in Leominster.

Mrs. Jubb was a member of the United Church of Shirley. She had also been a member of the Ladies Grange and Alturian Club.

JUBB -- A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the T.J. Anderson & Son Funeral Home, 25 Fitchburg Road (Route 2A), Ayer. Calling hours are 4-7 Monday. Please see www.andersonfuneral.com for additional information.
