He was born Aug. 21, 1936, in Morovi Puerto Rico, son of Santiago and Susana (Collazo) Torres and moved to Fitchburg 21 years ago. Before retiring he worked in construction and farming. He was a member of Pentecostal Church-Habacuc 2:20 in Fitchburg.
He leaves his wife, Blanca Iris (Otero) Torres; his 14 children, Irene, Jose M., Angel F., Maria M., Jose C., Carmel, Ismael, Marilu, Santiago, Iris A., Ana L., Blanca I., Maria M., and Maitee Torres; 18 brothers and sisters, 63 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by a son, Pedro A. Torres.
TORRES-COLLAZO -- A funeral service will be Wednesday, Nov. 7, at 11 a.m. in the Aubuchon-Moorcroft Funeral Home, 132 Woodland St., Fitchburg. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Fitchburg. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
