Marilyn was my best friend. We enjoyed many wonderful days in some great places but my favorite times with Mal were spent lounging in a chair on the beach in Maine. Her great laugh and twinkly smile will always be in my mind. I am so lucky to have had such great times with such a truly wonderful and kind person. We should all cherish the time we had on earth with her. Farewell Louise...Thelma will meet up with you again some day. lkc

Marilyn was a childhood friend. I saw her in May,2007, when she drove to Leominster to visit with me, (when I was helping out my elderly parents), and Linda Wiles, who was in from Colorado visiting her parents. I live in the Rochester, NY area and only saw Marilyn once in awhile. Due to a neck injury I was unable to make the 7 hour drive to come to the funeral. I have fond memories of her being light hearted and loving children. I wish her family well in healing from her loss.

35 years ago the Whitney family offered me shelter whilst I was travelling in the USA and we have remained good friends ever since. Christine and I have many cherished memories of Mal and her holidays here in England. Mal was a very special lady who we will miss very much. We especially remember her for her kindness and thoughtfulness to our children. We send our condolences to Tom, Jon and the Marino family. Happy memories Mal.

Marilyn was such a wonderful friend. She welcomed me with that wonderful laugh the first week I started teaching. She was one of my daughter's favorite teachers. I enjoyed teaching with her in Kindergarten for years. She was a very special friend.

Marilyn was always one year behind me in school from Bennett, Gallagher, LHS, and Fitchburg State College. For several years I was the Marinos Sunday newpaper boy and always enjoyed the kindness and good humor of Marilyn and her mother. Marilyn was a "special" person and I send my sympathies to all her family members.

Marilyn was the big sister of our Newton St. neighborhood. A good role model, a college student with goals, fun to be with. She'd take Ann Preville and me for Sunday drives. We were such pests and she put up with us. My sympathy to the whole family. I have so many fond memories of the family.

I will always remember Marilyn as a positive person, one who treasured her students and enjoyed her friends. She would always entertain with her wonderful wacky jokes. My sympathy to her husband, Tom, and her dear son Jon. May she rest in peace.
