Ramon Sickmiller Obituary

RAMON R. "RAY" SICKMILLER, 65, of Fort Wayne, died Friday, Feb. 23, 2007, at his home. Born in Wauseon, Ohio, he was employed with General Motors Corporation for 26 years, retiring in 2003. He was a member of Christ's Church at Georgetown, volunteer at Habitat for Humanity, was a Cleveland Indians fan and was a U.S. Army veteran. Survivors include wife, Carolyn E. Sickmiller of Fort Wayne; son, Gregory Allen (Jenn) Sickmiller of Fort Wayne; daughter, Ann Christine Renfrow of Fort Wayne; sister, Janet May (Dale) Chitwood of Miami, Fla.; brother, Roger Burnell (Twyla) Sickmiller of Mount Airy, N.C.; and grandchildren, Dawn, Grace and Ross. Service is 11 a.m. Tuesday at Christ's Church at Georgetown, 3131 Maplecrest Road, with calling one hour prior. The Rev. Mike Kjergaard officiating. Calling also from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road. Entombment in Highland Park Cemetery. Memorials to Christ's Church at Georgetown.

We have been praying for you and continue with Ray's death for God's arms to enfold you with His love, peace and strength.

We will always remember Ray as a sweet, gentle, soft-spoken man that showed such love and caring for you.

To the Family of Ray Sickmiller,
I met Ray when he volunteered to assist on the can route for Habitat for Humanity. We will miss him. Thank you for sharing Ray with us. I am also a retiree of General Motors and Ray and I talked about all the happenings at work. We had alot of laughs. He will be missed. I am praying for the family.
