Dear Strong family,

I know there are no words to say at this time, except how sorry that I am. My thoughts and prayers are with you always. Charles will never be forgotten.

For you every single soldier
Those who served so honorable
Your life was forever altered
While I'm home safe and free
I stand with grateful admiration
I stand respectful and so proud
I know I'm only a civilian
And I don't even know if it's allowed.

But I salute you; allow me the honor to salute you with permission let me say. Even though I hold no rank know that from my heart my humble gratitude comes from the deepest part. I salute you.
For those missing in action;for those who didn't make it home.
I know you're in God's presence you are not alone.
For every neatly folded flag;for every shattered family
I will do the only thing I know to dignify your memory.

I salute you, allow me the honor to salute you with permission let me say even though I hold no rank know that from my heart my humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.

I salute you.

I Salute You.

I am Harrison Moran. I am a senior at Winfield City High School in Alabama. I am a christian. I enjoy hunting, fishing, and running for my school. I tell these things about myself only because I know that without men like Sgt. Charles Strong I wouldn't be able to freely enjoy such an easy life. I am sorry to his family because I can only imagine what it would be like to lose a brother, spouse, or soon to be father. I hope the best for his family and his daughter. To his family I want to express my deepest gratitude for what Charles stood for, but also my deep sorrow for your loss. Men like him will never be forgotten.

My name is Angel McGough i go to Winfield High School and i am in 12th grade. I just want to take the time to tell Charles C. Strong's family, and friends that you are not alone. I too have lost loved ones in war and it is very hard to get through it sometimes, but if it wasnt for these brave soldiers we would not be able to live in the life that we do today, we would not have the freedom that we have. I know that it is tough when you loose someone you love who means so much to you. I just wanted to take the time to tell whoever this may concern that i appreciate everything that these men, and women have done for our country. If you would like to send me an e-mail you may do so through my teachers e-mail. [email protected]. Thank you and god bless you.

I am Mackenzie Goodman and I am a senior at Winfield High School in Winfield, Alabama and I am writing this for my government class. I play trumpet in my school's band, play piano, and am in a few different clubs. I plan to be a pediatric oncologists, and this time next year I will be living in my dorm at the University of South Albama in Mobile. I found you becuase you have the same name as my grandfather: Charles Dickerson. I am writing to thank you for your sacrifces for our country. Because of you, our country is a better place. My step father has been deployed three times, and I have seen and experienced the amount of pride and pain that serving our country produces. However, I know that the pain my family has experienced does not come anywhere close to comparing to your family's. I pray that your family knows how much love and respect they have from people that they do not even know. Good luck with your first child. I know she will grow up sorrounded by your love. You are greatly missed and loved. If you would like to respond, please email [email protected]
