Dear Kalafut family,
I know there are no words to say at this time, except how sorry that I am. My thoughts and prayers are with you always. Christopher will never be forgotten.
For you every single soldier
Those who served so honorable
Your life was forever altered
While I'm home safe and free
I stand with grateful admiration
I stand respectful and so proud
I know I'm only a civilian
And I don't even know if it's allowed.
But I salute you; allow me the honor to salute you with permission let me say. Even though I hold no rank know that from my heart my humble gratitude comes from the deepest part. I salute you.
For those missing in action;for those who didn't make it home.
I know you're in God's presence you are not alone.
For every neatly folded flag;for every shattered family
I will do the only thing I know to dignify your memory.
I salute you, allow me the honor to salute you with permission let me say even though I hold no rank know that from my heart my humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.
I salute you.
I Salute You.

Dear Family of Christopher E. Kalafut,
My name is Christina Hollingsworth. I am a senior at Winfield High School located in Winfield, AL. I am writing you from my Government class. For a project in our government class we are chosing fallen soldiers and writing to their families. I have chosen you as one of my families to write to. I know that since your recent loss you have probably revieved many letters, emails, text messages, etc. from people sending their condolences and a random letter may seem odd, but we are doing this in hopes to reach out to you guys and touch your hearts. I appreciate with great measure your sacrifice and you father, husband, brother, and everhting that he is to you, his sacrifice is the most appreciated. Nothing can ever repay you for what you have given for the freedoms of so many Americans, but we can thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Thank you. If you wish to respond you can respond to [email protected]
Sincerely,

To the family of Christopher E. Kalafut: My name is Johnny Davis and I am a senior at Winfield High School here in Alabama. My history teacher asked us to find a soldier who recently sacrificed his life on militarytimes.com and to leave a note here on legacy.com. This is where I found Christopher. I wanted to express my sympathy for your loss and remind you that this man's sacrifice is not going unnoticed. Even a random student you never heard of in a small city in Alabama is inspired by the sacrifice of this man. I hope you realize the impact this soldier has made in many people's lives, not just in his life, but also in his death. If you would like to contact me, please e-mail [email protected]
