Dear Pam & Fanau,
Our hearts have been saddened by Richards passing & we feel your sorrow & pain, but we know that he is with our Heavenly Father & that he is once again reunited with Grandma Salote. Grandpa 'Iohani and all of our family above. He has been called to a higher calling & though its hard for you, your family & all of us......"there is a reason for everything under the heavens"!!. We may not have lived close --in miles, or seen each other often, but we always kept in touch through the years!! The Bond & the Love has always been there!! I'm so thankful for the experiences I had with Uncle Richard--and all the memories we shared through the years. I'm thankful that I was blessed with a loving uncle!! For his example, his testimony, his big heart & his love always. Pam, you & Richard have been blessed with a beautiful family!! I hope that you will be a comfort to each other, & help each other to be strong--Especially for you kids to be there for your mom!! We are very proud of you all for wanting to respect his love of the Tongan culture & customs. Thank you Pam & family for allowing us to help you make that happen @ his funeral! It was beautiful & there was so much love felt there!! My mom & I were so happy that we could be there with you!! Ben, Ray & Malia and the kids -- were sorry they could not be there--but their hearts & that of everyone else who couldn't make it, were there with those of us who were there!!
May you feel our Heavenly Fathers love & May He give you Peace, Love & Comfort in the days to come!! Know that we love you all very much!! And we're here if you need anything!! I would like to thank everyone who shared their kind words at a time of much sorrow! My father touch many lives with his out going attitude. He was a wonderful father, even better grandfather, and a loving husband. He was a great outdoors man and waterman, who loved doing things with his sons , nephews, and cousins. Richard spent a lot of his spare time helping out fellow members of his church and volunteering for the boy scouts in his ward. If he wasn't at baseball or football games, boy scouts, or working Richard loved being in his tropical garden. From papaya's to mango's, avocados to coconut trees Richard grew it all. People on his street loved when his night blooming Jasmine was in season because you can smell its beautiful fragrance a mile away. My father loved his culture from the dancing and singing to the history of his family's name. He was also grateful for the fact that his Mother and Father immigrated to this country so that his family could have more of an opportunity for a better life. Everyone growing up that came in contact with Richard all say how friendly and kind he was as a person and as a member of the LDS church. He had a really strong testimony of the church and would go often to the Orlando Temple. There is just to much to say about my Father that words can not describe how much of a great man he was and still is. He will be missed but never forgotten and our family is sure he is in a better place and we all will see him and our other loved ones who have passed again some day. Until than Ofa taengata Dad, Richard, aka Old G!!! I would like to thank everyone who helped out the week of the tragedy and to all that came out to share their support Friday and Saturday we thank you once again!!!

Dear Brother Lisiate, it is within my heart that I know and will always remember all of the lessons both spiritual and temporal that you taught me. I will reflect often on our childhood together, the camping, fishing and entertaining trips we spent together. I will miss our shared meals, humorous conversation and church assignments. It was an honor for me to spend this mortal time with such a valiant and obedient child of our Heavenly Father and I look forward to our joyous reunion. Know that I will always be there for your family no matter what the occassion.

Pam, I can't tell you how sorry we were to hear about Richard. It's so hard to believe let alone accept. My memories of him were how he used to brush Leilani's hair when she was a little girl and how he taught Alexis how to dance the hula. May you find strength in your faith, friends, and family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, the kids, and the rest of your family.

Uncle Richard we will forever miss you! I never thought that Grandmas funeral would be the last time we would spend time with you. I'm so grateful that we spent the time cooking with you and our little kava session (cause you didnt want to hang out with the "old people" :) ) Your passing has made us appreciate each other more and never take our loved ones presence for granted. I'm so grateful to be a member of this church to know without a shadow of a doubt that FAMILIES ARE FOREVER, and we will see you again.
Our hearts and prayers go out to your family, may they find strength in each other, family, friends, but ,most of all in our Heavenly Father. Ofa Lahi Atu, Curtis, Simone, and Camorah Sillito

I love you Uncle Richard! You have always been so full of life and love and music. Surely the choirs of angels are delighted to have such a handsome new tenor:)
You will always be with us, in every melody, in every hula danced beneath the stars, and especially whenever I hear that old school seminary music..."Like Unto Us".
May the Lord bless your posterity. May He lift and comfort them with His peace and Light.
