To the Smith Family.

My condolences in the loss of your husband, father, grand father. et cetera.

I played noon hour basketball at the Y with Bob for at least twenty years. He was always the friendliest, fairest person out there, and if he got that hook shot going, wow! I have fond memories of those times. I can even picture you, Bob Jr. [I'm the guy who taught at GRCC.]

But I had to retire from basketball about eighteen years ago. I could still run and shoot, but I could not walk the next day. But I still remember some of those players, especially the faces and some of the moves. Only a few of the names though: Lou Parks, Jim Hall, Paul Williams. But the memories are good.

Bob was a great friend and business associate. I will miss him but he is with the Lord and we will meet again "when all things will be made new."
