Shird "Pop" N. Moses, Jr. age 81 of Morgan Township, Ohio passed away Sunday, January 7, 2007 at Fort Hamilton Hospital. He was born on June 30, 1925 in Harlan, Kentucky the son of Shird and Clara (Rutherford) Moses. He was married to Maxine Bunch and she preceded him in death in 2005. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during WW II. Pop loved stock car racing. He raced in the late 1950's with local well known drivers such as: Ross Smith, Chuck McWilliams, Floyd Gilbert, and Pat Patrick. Every Saturday night he could be found at the Florence Speedway watching the races. He is survived by one son, Larry Moses of Ross, Ohio; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and many other loving relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Ailene Boyd. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. If desired memorials may be made to the Morgan Township Life Squad, P.O.
