Dear Louise,
For some reason, while looking for other information on the web, I came across the memorial golf web-site and followed it up. I'm Judy Cutler Diver your old roomie ... that terrible semeser when I had mono. You were such a good person and so easy to get along with. I remember how much in love you were with your Howie. I send you my sincere condolences... and at the same time, my best wishes for the best in your life from now on. I see you had two sons... and perhaps grandchildren? Just a chance thing to come across your name, but I remember you fondly.

To the Belkin and Platt Families:
My deepest sympathies on your loss of Howard. He always had a wry smile and a joke to offset any tough topic.
He worked hard these past few years and had cared well for himself. I will miss that large smile and tip of his head when he delivered his punchlines. He worked hard for those he was responsible for. I will miss him and I know you all will have many good memories but they will never completely replace the man.
We will remember him.
Sincerely,
Bill Petit MD

Louise and Family, My deepest sympathy to you all. It was a pleasure to work with Commissioner Belkin. There wasn't a day that would pass without him to give us a joke or two even on his not so good days. He will be dearly missed in the 1st District office as our good Friend. May God bless him and keep him close and we will meet again when the time is right.

So sorry to read about Howard's passing. I was Director of City Planning in New Britain, when he was appointed Chairman. Howard was very honest & had great integrity.
He also represented me in several house closings. Howard also guided me during a crisis in my life & I will never forget him for helping me. He was very understanding & compassionate. I am deeply saddened by his death. My thoughts and prayers are with the Belkin family.
God bless.

Like Governor William O'Neill we lost a great but common man whom care more the people whom came before him while he was a Workers' Compensation Commissioner, not concerned for the politics and the big insurance companies. He was fair to all and a pleasure to be around, whether in the workplace or at a social event.
I, like so many others, will miss his smile and most of all his humor. May God enjoy your company as it will sorely be missed here!
My deepest sympathy goes out to Commissuioner Belkin's family and that they keep up their spirits knowing that he touched so may people in a wonderful way.

I am truly sorry to hear of the passing of Commissioner Belkin. He fought a long, hard fight and managed to keep his wonderful sense of humor. I was always impressed by his strength and positive attitude. He will be missed by all who work in the Workers' Compensation system.
