Ina McCafferty Obituary


Ina May (North) McCafferty

Ina May (Noth) McCafferty, was born on Vashon Island, Washington, on August 25, 1938. She attended Loyal Heights Elementary and Ballard High School, class of 1956. Ina passed away May 11, 2007, in Everett, Washington.
Ina married her high school sweetheart, William McCafferty and raised their five children in the Ballard community. She was active in her childrens' lives and volunteered time with the PTA at Webster Elementary, Boy Scout troop 112, Camp Fire USA, Camp Sealth and Mt. Olive Lutheran Church.
Ina returned to school in 1981 to achieve her life long dream of becoming a nurse and received her degree 1983. She worked at Virgina Mason until her retirement in 1995. Bill and Ina planned to travel extensively through their retirement years never realizing that their time would be so short.
Survived by her husband, Bill of 49 years; and their five children, William, Peter (Nancy), Lannon (Arne), Tricia (Dakota) and James (Cara). Also survived by her mother, Rita North; sister, Jeanette North; sister-in-law, Judy; grandchildren, Rachel (Brandon), Paul, Christopher, Patrick (Laura), Christina, Kelton, and Kaylen; and great-grandchildren, Mikayla and Parker.
Visitation, from 12-8 p.m., Thursday, May 17, and Friday May 18, at Evergreen-Washelli Funeral Home. Graveside Service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 19, 2007, in Evergreen Memoral Park; all at 11111 Aurora Avenue N. Seattle. Memorial service to follow at 1 p.m., at Grace Lutheran Church, 8401 Holly Drive in Everett.

My sympathies to the entire McCafferty family. Ina was always kind to me the entire time I knew her, from the time I met her in my high school years, until the last time I saw her several years ago.
