Wynona Smith Obituary

WYNONA MAE (SUE) SMITH, 67 years., passed away peacefully on April 13 in her home surrounded by family and friends knowing that she was bathed in the warmth of their love. Sue was born in Lynchburg Virginia the oldest child of Carl and Myrtle Musgrove. Sue was an enthusiast of the written word, classical music, the arts, a fine cup of coffee and all that is beautiful and sublime. Sue, a long time employee of the Blue Hand and Constantino Antiques, was known for her interest in ethnic arts and antiques, an exceptional cook, host and most importantly a great friend and loving mother. Sue is survived by daughters Amy Dudley Smith and Sarah Atchley, son in-law Jim, brother Butch and wife Maggie, brother Jimmy and wife Lois and Tim and Nina Smith. She is also survived by family not of relation but of her heart Ruby, Dorothy, Wendy, Mary Lou, Daniel and many other caregivers, hospice workers and friends who returned the love that Sue let flow from her heart like an unending river. A celebration of Sue's life will occur at 4:30 pm, Wednesday, April 19, 2006 in the back yard she loved so dearly. In lieu of floral tributes the family suggest donations be made to www.houstonhospice.org or The-Rose.org in Sue Smith's memory.

My life would not have been even remotely the same without Sue. I admired her, loved her, and have been and will always be grateful to her for her kindness and her sharing of spirit. I am so grateful to have had her in my life. I am so grateful she shared herself with me. I can never thank her enough.
