My name is Alexander Joel Noriega. Sean Dubose and I shared a very close friendship in high school that I feel that I let die too early. Friendships are like people I guess. They grow, have adventures and they die, but I let our friendship die too early over something that looking back was foolish. I wish that I could share that with him today.

Words cannot express how it must feel to go through such a great loss. Sean had everything going for him, and I'm so sorry that this has happened. He is experiencing the glories of heaven by God's side now. For that, he is the only one among the rest of us who is truly happy.

My husband and I knew Sean from his time at Camp Perry while he was in MMA Troop 22. It was always a pleasure to work with him and to watch as he grew up. It was obvious that he held the respect of both his peers in the Troop and of his Troop leaders. Anyone else who dealt with him quickly learned to respect and appreciate him, too. There are no words to express how shocked and saddened we are by Sean's death. Our hearts go out to you. Please know that our prayers are with both of you. Cecily and JW Dyer, Rio Grande Council BSA

Judy,
I am so very sorry to have heard about your most recent loss, Sean. It broke my heart when I heard the horrible news of his death. You have experienced such great loss in your lifetime, for that I can only pray that God will somehow make up for and bless you greatly.

Dear Judy - I remember Sean very well from the CCYC Sailing Team. I often wondered about how Sean was doing and every once in a while I would get a report, from my mom or someone else at the Yacht Club, about his successes and accomplishments. I am very sorry for your loss. The world lost a Bright Light on Wednesday. I am thinking of you. May G-d bless you and keep you safe during this time.
Love,

Sean was an exceptional individual who will be missed in many circles. I met him on January 30 of this year, one week into his employment with Sam Houston Area Council as the District Executive for Polaris District. He drove across town on the weekend to resolve a situation related to Scouting. The warmth and genuine nature that Sean extended in that first meeting created an instant friendship. He described growing up in Scouting at the military academy, working as a Scouting volunteer in college, and his excitement as a professional with BSA. Two months later, he camped with our troop at Camporee, and he expressed a desire to attend another outing with us this spring in Kountze. There, we visited in the evenings, when he talked about his plans to marry.
Rarely does such a young person impact the life of one from another generation in the way that Sean has. In my memory, Sean will remain an exemplary young man, Eagle Scout, and Scouting professional. God’s blessings to you all.

I first met Sean at a judo tournament in California about 6 or 7 years ago. I don't often remember my first encounters with people because there's so many people to remember. However, Sean will forever stick in my memory as he had such an impactful personality. That friendly southern smile and trademark cowboy hat made for a great first impression. I wish he could have been with us all longer so more people could have had the same experience. The judo world misses you. ~*~xoSEANox~*~

My son Harry was a close friend of Sean's at OU. I met Sean about 2 years ago and I connected with him immediately. He was, hands down, THE MOST RESPECTFUL KA I knew! Through our conversations, I learned much about Sean's childhood and realized why Harry and he were so close. I cannot believe he is gone. I know you are devastated by his loss. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers. With love, prayers, and sympathy - Patti Bryant Leach, Mom of Harry Bryant
