MR. JOSEPH CHARLES ST. PIERRE, 56, passed away unexpectedly Friday afternoon, September 7, 2007 while visiting family in Cherry Valley, NY. Joe was born September 21, 1950 in Allentown, PA, to Joseph and Katherine St. Pierre. He graduated from Newark College of Engineering as a chemical engineer and worked for Solar Turbines for 21 years in their co-generation sales force. Joe was a scout leader for Troop 599 in Houston, TX for over 15 years and was an active member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Houston where he served on the Parish Council, the ACTs retreat team, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was also instrumental in forming the CHP initiative in Houston. Joe is survived by his wife, Gail; daughters Heather Khan and Eileen St. Pierre; sons Christopher, Ronald and Bobby; granddaughter Syara; and son-in-law, Hamid Lee. He is also survived by his sisters Sue Chant of Vermont, Connie Rawson who is formerly of Schoharie, NY, and Cathy Yarworski of Delanson, NY; and numerous nieces and nephews-in-law. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 4 PM on Tuesday, September 11th in St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Cherry Valley, NY. A Memorial Service will be held in Houston at a later date. Funeral arrangements are with the Connell, Dow & Deysenroth Funeral Home, 82 Chestnut Street, Cooperstown, NY 13326, (607) 547-8231.

I'm so sorry to hear of Joe's passing. I also graduated from CHS and NCE as a ChE. Also attended St. John Vianney in Colonia. Joe was a great guy. I looked in our CHS yearbook for the message he left.... My prayers are with the family.

I was so sorry to hear of Joe's unexpected passing and send my deepest condolences to his family. He was a classmate of mine at Colonia High School, Class of 1968, and also a fellow parishioner in St. John Vianney R.C. Church in Colonia, NJ as well.

Our family heard the news at mass (St. John Vianney). We often saw and spoke to Joe at the Sunday afternoon service. Joe was a wonderful Troop 599 scouter and will fondly be remembered. Our prayers are with you.
