Debbie spent most of her working career in the food industry with employment in restaurants in Maine, Florida, California, and Idaho. As a child, she was featured in the documentary film "Island Hopping Off the Coast of Maine" which promoted the Maine Ferry Service. She held a life-long love of the ocean, and collected lighthouse memorabilia. Some of Deb's favorite hours were spent at the family summer cottage at Holiday Beach, Owl's Head, Maine. Always interested in music, she learned to play several instruments, including piano, French horn, and guitar. Deb enjoyed cooking, travel, family gatherings, her pets, writing, reading, board and card games, crafts, yoga, spiritual exploration, and wellness support. Among her accomplishments was becoming a Reiki Master-Teacher level practitioner, volunteering on the Distant Healing Network, and facilitating a Reiki Healing message board with her compassionate support. Debbie held her great sense of humor to the end, with courage, independence and determination. In addition to her parents of Rockland, Maine, she is survived by siblings, Christie, Daniel, and Terrie Look; her in-laws, Lud and Molly Mahler; sisters-in-law, Ann and Trina; brother-in-law, Mike; step children, Jody, Sarah, Susan, and Kelly; three step grandchildren; former spouses, Steve Carroll and Russ Atkinson; three nieces and one nephew; two aunts, numerous cousins and many friends.
