Marjorie Ferreira Obituary

Marjorie (Marge) Ferreira Resident of Alamo Oct. 13, 1921 - Aug. 23, 2010 Our wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law and friend passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2010 in Alamo, CA. Marge was born in Turlock, CA, October 13, 1921 to Mary and Antonio Chibante. Her family moved to Antioch in 1932 where she attended school graduating in 1939. After graduation she worked for Fiberboard. Marge is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Art, her daughter Pat (Louie) sister Virginia Canada and brother-in-law, Melvin Ferreira. She is also survived by her grandchildren Erin and Landon Mares and their father Ray (Cheryl) as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her cherished children Jean Elizabeth and Jim Ferreira as well as her sister Estelle Mendonca. Marge was a volunteer for many years at Brookside Hospital and for Hospice in Pleasanton. A Memorial Mass will be held September 17 at 11:00 am at St. Isidore Church in Danville followed by a reception for family and friends in the parish hall.
