E. Dickerson Obituary

E. "Bud" Dickerson Sept. 22, 1927 Sept. 4, 2010 Resident of Alameda Passed away at the age of 82 on September 4, 2010 from pneumonia. A native of Oakland, born September 22, 1927 to Clifford Dickerson and Helen Fuller. Bud was a graduate of Castlemont High School and served his country in the Merchant Marines and Army National Guard. Shortly after high school he met the love of his life, Dorothy Nance. They married and settled in Alameda where they raised their family. While a member of Glaziers & Glassworkers Local #169 for over 60 years, Bud owned his own business specializing in leaded glass windows. Many of his beautiful windows are shining brightly in local churches and homes throughout the East Bay. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed memberships in the Alameda Golf Club and Alameda Elks Lodge. Upon retirement, Bud and Dorothy traveled and enjoyed playing bingo at various bingo clubs in the bay area. Bud was predeceased by his loving wife, Dorothy. He is survived by his children and their spouses, Raelene (Steve) Heath, Roxann (Steve) Suzio, Renee (Brad) Clerk and Richard (Christine) Dickerson and his grandchildren, Casey (Stephanie) Roloson, Andrew and Blake Roloson, Anthony and Megan Suzio, Michael (Shannon) Heath, Scott Heath, Tracy Clerk and great-grandson Kyle Heath. A mass will be held at St. Philip Neri Church, 3108 Van Buren, Alameda on Saturday, September 11, at 11:30 a.m., followed by a celebration of Bud's life at St. Philip Neri O'Brien Hall. Entombment following services will be private. Funeral Arrangements entrusted to: Greer Family Mortuary FD 1408 510-865-3755
