I graduated with Terry in 1970 from Moreau. We were good friends. I remember his T-bird. As people do I lost track of him. Sorry for your loss. Condolences to his family.

I was blessed the day I met the Joaquins. Terry was many things to many people, a hero if you needed rescuing,a pillow if you needed a place to rest awhile, a roof when you needed shelter from a storm,(no matter how chaotic that storm got)if you had a problem Terry would offer some kind of solution, sometimes 2 or 3 to choose from, never pushing them on you, but just for you to think about, and possibly help to solve your dilemma if you chose to do so, he was an ear if you needed to be heard, a shoulder if you needed to cry , a job if you needed some quick cash or even a steady paycheck, when possible, a financial adviser if you needed help managing your money, (often by way of a loan), and a smile when you needed. . . . . well. . . just a smile. Terry might laugh at you on occasion, but at the same time, he was laughing with you. And some of the stories he'd tell,,,,well if you knew Terry, then you know the man did have some great stories. Terry, Gigi, and the boys came into my life at a time when I needed a change, and without even knowing, they helped me to see that change and gave me the confidence I needed to make and maintain that change. Other than my own family, no one has touched my life in such a positive way as the Joaquins. I am so thankful to have been fortunate enough to call the Joaquins my friend. Terry used his heart to care for others so much, there wasn't enough energy left to keep him here with us. Everyone that knew Terry, was in some way influenced by him, I'm sure his memory will stay alive in all our hearts. Terry was like a ray of sunshine on the gloomiest day, add Gigi and out comes the rainbow for all to admire, top them off with Little Terry and Michael and you have that pot of gold. I will greatly miss sharing that pot of gold, but always cherish and keep its memories deep in my heart. Thank you for always being there when I needed you, and more importantly, when I didn't. I could keep going on and on about the character and kindness of this family, but alas, I have bored you enough, and with that said, until our paths once again cross, your in my thoughts daily and I love you guys, always and forever.

I went to grammar school with Terry at St. Johns in San Lorenzo. My memories of him are all great, but the thing I remember most is his great smile. My deepest condolences to his family.

I was very saddened to hear of the passing of Terry. I was in grammar school with him and he lived around the corner from us. I grew up playing ball in the court in front of his house as a child, going to dances in his back yard as a young teenager and even going to a Moreau dance with him when we were freshman. We had many fun times swimming at the Keith's as well. Though, I have not seen Terry in years, I have many fond memories of our childhood. God Bless his wife and children and Helen and Donna at this very sad time. I was glad I was able to attend his funeral. I recently wrote to his son Terry on facebook to advise his Dad of the St. John's reunion Sept. 17th. Terry, I never heard from you and I am sorry that your Dad was sick about the time I wrote to you.
