Dorothy Carlevato Obituary

Dorothy Lee Carlevato Nov 22, 1940 - August 28, 2010 Resident of San Leandro, CA A resident of San Lorenzo Village for 60 years, Dorothy was born in Oakland, California to Frank and Helen Anselmo. Surrounded by family and friends, Dorothy unexpectedly passed away on Saturday, August 28th due to natural causes. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. Beloved wife of the late Robert Carlevato. She leaves daughters Robin Abad and Chrissy Becerra (Tim), Grandchildren; Amanda Ochoa (Tue Hoang) and Carly, Lindsey and Brianna Becerra, Great Grandchild; Tuyen Hoang, Brothers; Robert Anselmo ( Jennifer and Sheryl Anselmo) and the late Richard Anselmo, former son in law; Paul Ochoa. Graduating from San Lorenzo High in 1958, Dorothy worked as a bookkeeper most of her life. She especially enjoyed her time at San Leandro Disposal where she was known as the affectionate "Giggles". Later, she and Bob owned "The Daily Deli" in San Leandro. She recently worked as an in-home health aid and volunteered at Eden Hospital in Castro Valley. We will cherish every moment we shared with her in our hearts and know that she is with us always. Services will be held Thursday, September 16 2010 (1:00pm) at Our Lady of Grace 3433 Somerset Ave, Castro Valley CA 94546.
