Nancy Habeeb Obituary

Nancy Lee (Miller) Habeeb Jan. 13, 1922-May 30, 2010 Former Oakland Resident Nancy passed away peacefully in Auburn, CA. Born in Alameda, CA to the late Earl & Evelyn Miller. Graduate of University High School in Oakland & Modesto Jr. College. Married Ed Habeeb In 1945; They were together 61 years until Ed's passing in 2006. Former employee of Kaiser Hospital, and later a Kaiser volunteer. Active in PTA, she served as president of the Redwood Heights PTA in 1965/66. Nancy enjoyed cooking, entertaining, traveling, crafts & needlework, music, dancing, and was an enthusiastic Tom Jones fan. Moved from Oakland to Lake Wildwood in Nevada County in 1987 after Ed's retirement. Due to Alzheimer's, Nancy resided at Foothill Oaks Care Center in Auburn for the past 6 years. Nancy is survived by her children Gayle Ferrea & her husband Bob, Greg Habeeb, and Sherry Taddei & her husband Jim; Grandsons Aric Ferrea and Adam Ferrea & his wife Lindsay; Great-Grandson Carlo Ferrea; Brother Bob Miller & his wife Diane, and the extended Habeeb Family. Her family wishes to thank special caregiver Barbara and the staff at Foothill Oaks for their kindness and loving care of Nancy. Memorial service will be held Saturday, Sept. 18th, 1 pm, at First Covenant Church, 4000 Redwood Rd., Oakland. Donations in memory of Nancy can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or your favorite charity.
